Uniform, Scouts shop and Discounts

All Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will need uniform to be invested (usually a few weeks after they join) and we have a good stock of second hand uniform. Members will get a scarf, woggle and Membership badges upon being invested when children will say their promise and be formally welcomed to the group.

Beavers and Cubs wear jumpers while Scouts wear shirts.

In addition, Beavers and Cubs will need a t-shirt for warmer weather and many Scouts prefer this to shirts in summer too. We have 1st Ditchling t-shirts you can purchase new or second hand from Leaders or the Deputy Group Scout Leader:

Jumpers, Scout shirts and replacement scarves/woggles can be purchased from the Scout Shop or Broadbridges in Haywards Heath. We also have second hand uniform available so feel free to ask leaders about this too.

Don’t forget that members are entitled to member discounts at gooutdoors and Blacks, Millets and Ultimate Outdoors, ask your leaders or email partnerships@scouts.org.uk with the subject title “discount code”.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
